Etymology[edit]
Nativisation of the Sino-Korean term 피장부아장부 (彼丈夫我丈夫, pijangbuajangbu, “[if] he is a [real] man, so am I”), ultimately from a quote in Mencius. The term underwent irregular shifts for alliterative purposes.
