  1. used to create nouns from verbs, usually meaning the place intended to realize the activity denoted by the base word
    mučit (torture) + ‎-írna → ‎mučírna (torture chamber)
  2. used to create nouns from other nouns, usually meaning a place related to the base word
    pes (dog) + ‎-írna → ‎psírna (kennel)
