Sindarin[edit]

Etymology[edit]

Only attested in Tolkien’s earlier conception of the language (‘Gnomish’), but compatible with his later vision of Sindarin. Diegetically explicable as inherited from a Primitive Elvish *koropē or *koropi, and so cognate to (Neo-)Quenya corpë.

Noun[edit]

corob • z7Yw^ (plural ceryb)

  1. skull
