  • Taxonomic names are pronounced differently by speakers of different languages, with Latin pronunciation having some normative influence for taxonomic names.
  • Translingual symbols and characters are either not pronounced, having a name that is pronounced, or are pronounced in principle differently in each language, as may be shown in a language section for the symbol.
