- "A excava", "cariat" and "corect" are recent borrowings or calques.
- "Udătură" does not mean "rain", at least not in the modern language. (And I am not aware of it meaning "rain" in the old language either.)

In this chart, if you were to add a third language--to compare Romanian with English and with another Romance language (such as Spanish) the distance between English and Romanian and the closeness between Romanian and Spanish would become very evident.Hijasegunda 02:53, 16 December 2010 (UTC)
IPA[edit]
The IPA here is Spanish, not Romanian. Can someone fix this?
