hybrid-2k, you changed the Aragonese "you" from tu to yo. I don't know any Aragonese, but I do speak Spanish. I assume this is a mistake; I'll change it back, and if it's not a mistake, rechange it. 66.191.117.234 20:28, 1 April 2006 (UTC)

Two observations: - The list should run W-E, that is, PT, GL, AST/LEO, SPA, ARAG, CAT, as that is the genetic layout that makes sense. - It would be far more interesting to include AST than GL; with all due respect, AST constitutes a separate language both from SPA and PT in that the structure of words is different, as they display different sound laws from either SPA or PT; whereas GL differs from PT mostly on phonetics, but not word structure / phonology; and of the entire list, only 29-39-66 actually use different roots (I think you might find comparable or greater differences if including columns for Latin American PT and SPA). In fact, the major difference between PT and GL is the treatment of unstressed vowels (other differences such as the sybillants have little to no impact on mutual comprehension), and that hardly shows up in writing.85.241.125.247 03:54, 29 November 2008 (UTC)

Latin Name

I'm pretty sure that the Romans called their language Lingua Latina, not Latino. I'll change it and someone can change it back if I'm wrong.

Romance languages Swadesh list
