Incorrect Words[edit]

English "I", the first person, is "mi" in Welsh. It can take the mutated form "fi", and can be shortened to "i" in a verb conjugation, such as English "I saw", Welsh "Welais i".

English "not" is Welsh "dim" or "nid". "Dim" is used like "dim syniad", "no idea". "I'm not asking" is "nid wyf yn gofyn" or "dw i ddim yn gofyn". This is a matter for a larger discussion of Welsh grammar.

Quite a few other issues with this list as well. For instance, "awel" means "breeze", not "wind".
