Various[edit]

There appear to be dozens of terms which were hand-marked with (dated) or variants thereof, before the tag templates became widespread. As the terms themselves get updated — generally just a matter of changing ''(dated)'' to {{dated}}, the category will fill up.

It's a separate decision whether the term "dated" should be consolidated with some other term. This can, of course, be done easily as long as the tag templates are in place, just as with "British" and "UK". Myself, I tend to think that if so many entries were tagged "dated", there's merit in keeping the term around. -dmh 21:51, 19 September 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Subjectivity of "dated"[edit]

The application of the term is entirely subjective. Many of the terms that were so marked are perfectly well in use even to-day. Eclecticology 08:11, 20 September 2005 (UTC)[reply]

I disagree that it is "entirely" subjective and think we should remove the disclaimer. Which terms on the list, specifically, do you think are still commonly used today? *ahem* Berserk798 00:55, 4 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]
