Category talk:English coordinating conjunctions

Definition from Wiktionary, the free dictionary
Jump to: navigation, search

This category is poorly conceived, and despite the definition, usually includes words such as so, which can only join subordinate clauses and shares more properties with conjunctive adverbs (e.g., however) than with coordinators. See the Wikipedia article on CCs [1]. We would be better to use the simpler Category:Coordinators (how do I link to a category?), which doesn't have the baggage of this category. --BrettR 13:35, 23 October 2006 (UTC)
