Is it justified to include the present subjunctive in the conjugation tables? It's given as identical to the present indicative in all verbs except in vuliri, which curiously has the form "vogghia". I wonder if this is correct, because for all I know Sicilian doesn't have a present subjunctive at all. 178.4.151.5 23:45, 3 October 2021 (UTC)
- Sicilian does have subjunctive and different conditional tenses.

- The difference between an infinite verb form, where the accent falls on the penultimate or on the third to last syllable, stands in the form of the first person of the present.
- Ju sentu gives you an infinite form with a proparoxytone accent "sèntiri" (not "sintìri").
- Ju fallisciu (which retains the Latin ending in -isco for the first three singular persons) gives you "falliri" (with paroxytone accent).
- I want anyway to clean this current page, which has a lot of wrong orthographies (almost all written in Sicilian eye dialect) and to fix the SIcilian verbs conjugation templates that is sometimes wrong-coded. - Thanks for the answer. I didn't mean to say that Sicilian didn't have a subjunctive at all. But the form vulissi that you mention, is called "imperfect subjunctive" in the tables. Let's look at "amari" for a regular verb: The table gives you the forms amassi etc., which are entirely justified. But it additionally includes a "present subjunctive", which is entirely identical to the "present indicative". I meant that this form was unnecessary because it doesn't exist as a special category in Sicilian. That is, as far as I know. My knowledge is really very superficial and stems only from my occupation with Maltese. 90.186.170.208 22:28, 14 October 2021 (UTC)
