      Netscape implements some intereesting things but they always seem to do a half-ass job. Look at frames, it sucks on Navigator. At least the redmond gang was intuitive enough to add some nice touches to it like frameless, floating frames.
      That's why IE 3.0, after being released has a serious bug. Netscape makes half-assed technology and so does Microsoft. MS likes to Microsoftify other technology. There are a lot of reported bugs with Internet Explorer 3.0.

      Right now it is a battle as to whether MS will gain any momentum in their attempt to "Microsoftify" Java and we'll end up with Microsoft's Java and a more or less standard Java.

      That is, you need to know the Microsoft answers to questions about networking, as opposed the the real answers about networking. MS has a tendency to "Microsoftify" networking concepts.

      And I really don't like the way that they try to dominate in every area and "Microsoftify" everything. For example, this week I discovered a strange little thing in Internet Explorer. When I saved a web page, an extra line was inserted in the file saying that the contents was "MSHTML".
