Phan Rang +‎ Tháp Chàm.

"Phan Rang": From Eastern Cham Pan(da)rang, from Old Cham Paṅrauṅ/Panrāṅ, from Sanskrit पाण्डुरङ्ग (pāṇḍuraṅga, another epithet for the Hindu god Vithoba).
"Tháp Chàm": tháp +‎ Chàm, literally "Cham Tower", named after the Po Klong Garai Temple in the northern part of the city.
