Proto-Indo-Iranian[edit]
Etymology[edit]

According to Martirosyan, the second element is independently reflected in Old Armenian ճիւ (čiw), an Iranian borrowing; compare also Proto-Slavic *cě̄và (“shin, bobbin”).
