Proto-Uralic[edit]

Reconstruction[edit]

*ë can be reconstructed on the basis of Mari (Aikio 2014), though no confirmation from more eastern languages is available. Rédei (1988) mentions uncertain reflexes from the Ob-Ugric languages, possibly better derived from *mura (whence Proto-Finnic *mura-).

Noun[edit]

*mërja

  1. berry
