Quoting sources wrongly[edit]

Regarding the etymology of kallis, Plötz (2013) explicitly rejects a connection between kallis and Goth. haldis "rather" and also suggests that the original meaning of the latter was "faster", not "dearer". Instead a connection between kallis and proto-Germ. *halthi-z "inclined" is made. Whoever wrote this entry read probably only the title of the essay. 83.245.147.95 11:04, 14 September 2023 (UTC)Reply
