I don't see how the umlauted North Germanic forms can be reflexes of a PG *fōdô. Orel doesn't list them as such. I'd suppose that they are secondary formations from the umlauted verb.--95.42.15.199 21:53, 2 October 2016 (UTC)Reply

Yes, or, they are modifications of the original unattested forms by the verb by analogy...Perhaps they should be parathesised Leasnam (talk) 21:57, 2 October 2016 (UTC)Reply
