Should this page be moved to *frōwǭ, *frawǭ, with *frawjǭ listed as a derivative? the descendant forms don't seem to line up Leasnam (talk) 13:11, 27 December 2015 (UTC)Reply

What do you think of the further etymology, pacem prawo and Russian:

frawjǭ's name[edit]

Frawjǭ's 'a' should be ā because according to Joseph Wright's grammar of Old English that Proto-Germanic ā evolved into Old English ō hence Frōwe in Old English. Leornendeealdenglisc (talk) 20:48, 25 April 2018 (UTC)Reply

I'm familiar with Old English -ā- before a nasal becoming -ō- (e.g. mōna, tōþ, sōfte, etc.). Is this a separate rule that I'm not yet aware of ? Leasnam (talk) 01:19, 26 April 2018 (UTC)Reply
