Forms with r[edit]
Aren't the forms with "r", such as German "war" and Old Norse "var" derived from the same root? Wakuran (talk) 22:11, 29 October 2020 (UTC)
- Yes; the -r- in the German and ON forms was levelled in from the plural form wēz- (independently in each language; Old High German still has was) Hazarasp (parlement · werkis) 01:13, 30 October 2020 (UTC)
