*sh₃elh₂-[edit]

@CodeCat The non-canonical *o in the root called my attention. Do you think there is a chance that this root actually looked like this *sh₃elh₂- ? My knowledge on phonological rules is limited, but you might know whether this might be possible. I think that *sh̥₃lh₂wós would explain more nicely salvus than sl̥h₂wós. Plus I think it wouldn't affect greek ὅλος since *h̥₃ turns into *o in hellenic. What do you think? Tom 144 (talk) 01:42, 19 August 2017 (UTC)Reply
