BTW I don't know how they pronounce it elsewhere but in America Nestlé's is indeed /ˈnɛsliz/. (I was going to re-add it to the page with a (US) note, but then I noticed it was stressed on the wrong syllable anyway.) Thanks for that - I was unaware. The British pronunciation is /ˈnEsleIz/, or, formerly, /ˈnEs@lz/ (reading it in the same way as "nestles"). The brand name is properly Nestlé. As it is Swiss, the first of these pronunciations is probably the closest to the one that the Swiss use. In any case, the word still doesn't belong on this page, because the American pronunciation ends in /iz/ rather than /i:z/. — Paul G 16:03, 26 May 2004 (UTC)[reply]
