Translingual[edit]

Etymology[edit]

From a claimed Latin sēdō (smooth) + English respiratory enteric orphan (not associated with a known disease) +‎ -virinae. The first element may have been chosen in error, given that the Latin word in question is a verb, rather than an adjective.

Proper noun[edit]

Sedoreovirinae

  1. A taxonomic subfamily within the family Reoviridae.
