@ZxxZxxZ Could you verify whether there are alternative pronunciations for this word? Hayyim gives neshador, noshader, and Steingass gives nushādir, nishādir, and Chinese sources also give the transcription nushadir when discussing the etym of 硇砂 (a loan from this). Thanks in advance! Hi, I added forms I found in dictionaries. I had personally heared neshador only, though, which must be a late variant of the older noshador, such soun change is common. --Z 11:42, 1 March 2018 (UTC)Reply
BTW, just so you know, here in wiktionary we use o, e, u for u, i, ū respectively, the latter set is often used outside Wiktionary including Steingass you mentioned. --Z 11:45, 1 March 2018 (UTC)Reply
@ZxxZxxZ Oh thanks, this is great. I will update the Chinese entry. (Also thanks for the link to the Dehkhoda Dictionary. It looks very well-designed and presented. I'm intrigued by their pronunciation notation, I think we should do something similar here.) Wyang (talk) 11:52, 1 March 2018 (UTC)Reply
Yes, in fact, I remember we did have a template for that kind of notation used in the Pronunciation section, but I don't remember it's name lol. --Z 12:25, 1 March 2018 (UTC)Reply
