"Borrowed from Sanskrit क्षेत्र (kṣétra)" is not technically correct. Instead be indicated as "Inherited from Sanskrit क्षेत्र (kṣétra)" — This unsigned comment was added by 173.71.122.243 (talk) at 21:54, 29 May 2022‎.

Are you sure? It looks like Hindi खेत (khet) was inherited from Sanskrit क्षेत्र (kṣetra) via Lua error in Module:parameters at line 95: Parameter 1 should be a valid language or etymology language code; the value "psu" is not valid. See WT:LOL and WT:LOL/E., but Hindi क्षेत्र (kṣetra) was a later learned borrowing from Sanskrit. It's not uncommon for a language to have inherited and borrowed doublets. For example, French ouverture is inherited from Latin apertura and underwent sound changes, but French aperture is a later borrowing. 70.172.194.25 22:00, 29 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
