Only traditional?[edit]

I don't believe it is correct to state, as this entry currently does, that this symbol is used only with traditional characters, as it is also used with simplified characters. 71.66.97.228 07:06, 9 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

It is correct - my personal experience confirmed on Wikipedia and other articles. Simplified Chinese uses "" or . It's easy to check. See PRC Google news, mainland China Wikipedia articles, etc. It has coincided with the move to horizontal writing. Simplified Chinese is never written vertically, unlike Traditional Chinese or Japanese. --Anatoli 07:44, 9 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
