拡 as Chinese character

Firstly, although the Hanyu Da Zidian 《漢語大字典》 (2006 edition) does have an entry for this character, no actual sources were cited for it. The definition given was only: 拡：同“擴”。

Secondly, although this character can also be found in the Dictionary of Variant Characters by Ministry of Education (Taiwan) 《教育部異體字字典》 [1], the citations given were from two sources, which are:

1. Kadokawa Kanwa Jiten 《角川漢和辞典》, which is not a Chinese dictionary.
2. Zhongwen Da Cidian 《中文大辭典》, a dictionary published in Taiwan from 1962 to 1968 which is based on the 1960 edition of the Dai Kan-Wa Jiten 《大漢和辞典》, also a Japanese dictionary. It should be noted that Taiwan was a former colony of Japan from 1895 to 1945.
3. A reference is also given from 中日朝漢字字形對照, a table comparing between modern Chinese, Japanese JIS and Korean KSC character forms.

According to this [2] research article, 広 and its derived characters were created in Japan around 1891. By referring to Page 41 of the same link [3], it is shown that similar forms did not exist in China.

It should be noted that the entry for 広 in the Dictionary of Variant Characters [4] gives its source of reference once again from the Zhongwen Da Cidian 《中文大辭典》.

Future editors should take note of this, that some Japanese shinjitai characters were somehow erroneously included in the Zhongwen Da Cidian, resulting in the inclusion of these shinjitai characters in Taiwan's Dictionary of Variant Characters as well as the CNS 11643 character set used in Taiwan.
