Pinyin spelling[edit]

@Justinrleung, Wyang, Tooironic. I can accept this expression's pinyin form be spelt as "dì-yī xiàn", "dì-yī-xiàn", "dìyīxiàn" or "dì yī xiàn"... But I think "dì-yīxiàn" is a bad idea, although I know this is the form used by 現代漢語規範詞典. 現代漢語詞典 used "dìyīxiàn". May I ask what is your idea? Dokurrat (talk) 05:40, 13 August 2018 (UTC)Reply

Let's also talk about pinyin form of 第一手 (dìyīshǒu). Dokurrat (talk) 05:52, 13 August 2018 (UTC)Reply
If we want to stick to 《中文拼音正詞法基本規則》, then it seems the hyphen is compulsory after 第: 4.6.3 表示序數的“第”與後面的數詞中間,加短橫。dì-yī (第一) dì-shísān (第十三) dì-èrshíbā (第二十八) dì-sānbǎi wǔshíliù (第三百五十六) Wyang (talk) 08:46, 13 August 2018 (UTC)Reply
@Wyang: I'm fine having that hyphen (if spelt as "dì-yī xiàn" or "dì-yī-xiàn"). But 《中文拼音正詞法基本規則》 also said that “5.2 表示一个整体概念的双音节或三音节结构,连写。” Either we have that hyphen or not, we have to violate one of these rules. Dokurrat (talk) 11:56, 17 August 2018 (UTC)Reply
@Dokurrat: I don't have a strong feeling for this. Please feel free to change it. Wyang (talk) 12:12, 17 August 2018 (UTC)Reply
@Wyang: OK. I'd go with "dìyīxiàn", which is used by 現代漢語詞典. Dokurrat (talk) 12:15, 17 August 2018 (UTC)Reply
