Isn't Debian a proper name and thus inappropriate for a dictionary ?

Hi. I have initiated this page because there are word derivating from debian , at least in French and Spanish. Proper names deserve IMHO also articles here

  • nicknames : Bilou in French foir Bill Gates
  • synonymes eg: The Middle Kingdom = China
  • names of inhabitans  : ex in French Charleroi-->Carolorégien.
  • derivating words : Nippon versus Japanese

I agree. Proper names belong to a language too. Of course they don't need to be explained the same way as in Wikipedia, but looked at from a linguistic point of view (translations, derivations, etc). D.D. 20:40 Dec 22, 2002 (UTC)
This discussion should be happening over at Wiktionary:Criteria for inclusion rather than here, on Youssefsan's point, all of his examples excluding the first could be included here under the current criteria. So would Debian, however the current criteria states that that if it's being included due to derivatives than the derivatives should be enter into the wiktionary prior to the proper name. --Imran 20:47 Dec 22, 2002 (UTC)~
