Historically, yes and no. Müller was involved in the design of the second generation models (along with Geiger), but not on the original model. The current design (halogen counter) was designed by Sidney H. Liebson. I've many times heard and seen the term Geiger counter, which gets 30x as many Google hits as Geiger-Müller counter. they should both have entries, and be listed as synonyms. --EncycloPetey 08:36, 14 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
