According to DWDS & Duden Gespons n. only means "female spouse" and not "spouse" or "male spouse", while Gespons m. means "male spouse". Maybe RfC or RfV for the given sense in the entry is needed. For Ehegespons it's similar, though for this Duden also has an additional Ehegespons n. "husband". — This unsigned comment was added by 2003:de:3718:e990:2ca9:cd19:ea94:8456 (talk).
