The thing about Wilhelm II showing himself publicly only in good weather surprises me a bit, because it is generally known that events, receptions and parades were Wilhelm's passion. He was also called "Reisekaiser" (travel emperor) because of his itchy feet. Of course the two tendencies need not necessarily exclude each other (and Wilhelm was a rather contradictory character anyway), but it may be worthwhile to check whether the source for the claim was understood correctly and if it can be corroborated with other sources. 92.218.236.219 08:32, 13 February 2023 (UTC)Reply
