The definition given in the article states, Any model of Russian assault rifle, especially the AK-47. This seems unlikly, as I would imagine that only rifles built to the original Kalashnikov design would qualify. The first definition was A particular model of Russian assault rifle. Has the name come to mean all Russian rifles?
