Definition[edit]

@Tharthan: I was following the definition at let's play; is it inaccurate? J3133 (talk) 05:29, 18 June 2023 (UTC)Reply

No. Note that our definition says "a video recording or comparable broadcast".
That covers the other forms of Let's Play that exist.
In case you are unfamiliar, here is an example of a screenshot LP. It's from 2006, from Slowbeef (who Wikipedia notes "is credited [with] [...] [creating] [t]he format of Let's Plays", and in addition to that is also credited with putting out one of the earliest examples of a video LP. He started out an LP of the Sega Genesis game "The Immortal" in 2007 as just another screenshot LP, but then a little ways in he began to incorporate videos into the playthrough, and it ultimately transitioned to a video LP.)
Although the example of a screenshot LP that I provided you is from 2006, the concept is far from obsolete. Here is an example of a screenshot LP that ended just back in April of this year. Tharthan (talk) 19:31, 18 June 2023 (UTC)Reply
