Correctly this should be a Moreton Bay Bug. I'd like to rename this page. --BillSegall

That would be an error. The correct method is to enter that alternative spelling as a separate page, since both are attested. --Connel MacKenzie 10:20, 27 March 2007 (UTC)Reply
Moreton Bay where the bugs are commonly found was originally named Morton Bay after the Earl of Morton by James Cook. This spelling never really took though and cartographers now universally spell it Moreton Bay. A good reference is at The Moreton Bay Wikipedia page at [1] or from the news at [2]. The name of the bug and it's not infrequent mis-spelling directly reflect that of the geography (bay and island). I feel that The Wiktionary page should also correctly map onto the Wikipedia Moreton Bay Bug page where the entry has the missing 'e'. Perhaps it should be renamed and this one created as an alternative spelling, as it is not infrequently mispelt --BillSegall
