Since when does North America "contain" Central America? That section should be removed. — Hippietrail 13:50, 15 May 2004 (UTC)[reply]

When they taught us geography, we had two continents here, North America and South America. "South America" is everything south of Panama, and "North America" is everything north of (and including) it. It does include Central America, which is essentially "mainland things that aren't USA, Canada, or Mexico".
