Hardy's Wessex[edit]

Thomas Hardy wrote novels set in parts of southern England under a fictional county name of Wessex; see Thomas Hardy's Wessex. Might be worth inclusion, though on the other hand despite the age and influence of the novels they might fall foul of the "fictional universe" rule. Still, the Wikipedia article seems to suggest that there has been a resurgence of this name to describe modern England, e.g. Wessex Regionalist Party. Equinox 17:18, 19 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I would also like to know if the Wessex referenced at (deprecated template usage) heathcropper is Hardy's fictional one (it seems so), which isn't really appropriate in a factual definition. Equinox 21:03, 5 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]
