Missing transitive meaning: to do something ahead of schedule

I actually searched on Wiktionary to find more expressions meaning "to do something ahead of schedule", and I tried checking for the translations of the corresponding work from my language. However, the only transitive definition somewhat related to this use is "to pay in advance". This is not a minor detail, considering that, at least in my variety of Spanish, this is the meaning that this word carries most of the time it is used.

Here are some examples of this use in Spanish: "Adelante las tareas de la semana que viene"

(in the context of education) "Creo que voy a adelantar tres unidades del libro"
