The Chambers Dictionary has "amitryptiline" but not the spelling used in this article. Is it a legitimate variant? 86.131.96.22 23:22, 6 December 2007 (UTC)Reply

The etymology seems to be "ami" (from amino) + "trypt" (from tryptophan) + "yl" + "ine" (standard suffixes) - so both spellings seem wrong to me.
