Talk:amoeba

Is "amœbæ" a correct English spelling? It seems to be correct for Latin but I haven't found a conclusive answer for English yet. I know that amœba in the singular is and there are plenty of words with æ, but I'm just not expert enough on these old spellings. — Hippietrail 01:50, 27 May 2005 (UTC)
