Etymology[edit]

My proposal - related to βᾰμβαίνω (bambaínō) to chatter with the teeth, stammer... Compare also βαβάζω (babázō, “to speak inarticulately”) and βάβάλον (bábálon, “bawler, shouter”), βᾰμβᾰκῠ́ζω (bambakúzō), βᾰμβᾰλῠ́ζω (bambalúzō)


It is of interest to me cross-wiki (and even meta), as Bambo the Black is deemed offensive, which many native speakers think is nonsense, so do ping me here.
