Shouldn't the part 'in Europe' be deleted? I'm sure there must be more parts of the world where battering rams were used. India, China and Japan perhaps even? 81.68.255.36 11:20, 27 May 2010 (UTC)Reply

Assyrian battering rams are mentioned[1]. Chinese rams are also mentioned [2]. About Japan, [3] that article mentions helmets with names that translate to 'battering-ram helmet'. I don't speak Japanese, so I can't tell if that name is a loose translation or that the Japanese actually had battering rams and thought some of their helmets looked like them. 81.68.255.36 11:32, 27 May 2010 (UTC)Reply

Well, I'm no expert in siege warfare, especially not siege warfare in the Middle Ages. For all I know, some civilizations continued to use battering rams (catapults, siege towers and whatnot) when gunpowder was known to them. I will try to put something down of which I'm sure you'll have to fix a bit because I'm not that good with English. 81.68.255.36 16:32, 30 May 2010 (UTC)Reply
