bolyh vs. boholy[edit]

Isn't this "boholy"? When declined, it indeed changes its stem to bolyh. Just like bagoly -> bagly- but we dont name the bagoly entry as bagly. It's a matter of Hungarian stem changing, that it will become bolyh instead of the harder-to-ponounce bohly. Qorilla 23:19, 30 June 2009 (UTC)Reply

Actually, bolyh is correct. Its older versions (see Zaicz) were bohoj and bohaj (with j, not ly). --Panda10 00:01, 1 July 2009 (UTC)Reply
I see. Isn't boholy worth mentioning? Google search: béboholy - 500 hits; bélbolyh - 150 hits. Qorilla 00:32, 1 July 2009 (UTC)Reply
None of my dictionaries contain boholy, but they all contain bolyh. How should it be mentioned? That this form was created by mistake and its usage is spreading? Is a Google search enough to prove that? --Panda10 01:06, 1 July 2009 (UTC)Reply
Found boholy here. --Panda10 01:19, 1 July 2009 (UTC)Reply
Many words are createed by what can be called a "mistake" or overseeing/misunderstanding something. This boholy - bolyh would be a pair like (old) tereh - terh and pehely - pelyh (h likes to go to the end during the stem shortening.) Qorilla 07:49, 1 July 2009 (UTC)Reply
Found it in Osiris Helyesírás, I will list it as an Alternate form. Qorilla 07:51, 1 July 2009 (UTC)Reply
