Carvallo is obviously is a Galician-Portuguese borrowing, it is not possible that a word shares a same ending in such case, in fact, toponyms in Astur-Leonese are carbaJo, not carballo. Any -ll- or -lh- in Galician-Portuguese renders a -j- in Spanish (baralho/baraja, molho/mojo and so on), if from Latin -culu(m) which are the most common. There are not a single case otherwise (except on mutual loanwords).00:43, 22 December 2015 (UTC)
