Missing Scottish sense?[edit]

Chambers 1908 says that "to be cheap of anything" (in Scottish usage) is to get off with less than one deserved or expected, e.g. punishment. I haven't had much luck trying to search for it in Google Books. Equinox 04:54, 28 April 2019 (UTC)Reply
