Shouldn’t the botany definition be ‘... varying from uniformity...’ ? henne 18:54, 20 October 2006 (UTC)Reply

Spatial relationship[edit]

According to Garner's fourth edition

Continuous is not interchangeable with continual in the sense of spatial relationship: a continuous series of passages.

What does it exactly refer to? --Backinstadiums (talk) 16:52, 7 December 2019 (UTC)Reply

Usage note: "Continual" for something undesirable which happens or exist without stopping[edit]

If you are describing something undesirable which continues to happen or exist without stopping, use continual rather than continuous.Life for her was a continual struggle because she was in continual pain. --Backinstadiums (talk) 10:23, 22 August 2021 (UTC)Reply
