In chemistry, we use the verb degrade as an intransitive verb (I think that's the correct term). Example: "My sample has degraded", meaning that my sample is no longer as pure as it was. Is this an incorrect usage? Or is it just that this entry needs to be expanded to include this type of use? I only visit here occasionally, you'll find me mainly at w:User:Walkerma.
