This entry would benefit from one or two examples that demonstrate the difference between earnestly and frankly. For instance, you can't say "I earnestly don't understand you" even though you can say "I frankly don't understand you."— This comment was unsigned.

That's because frankly is much used as a sentence adverb, whereas earnestly is not. That is already noted in the entry "frankly".​—msh210 (talk) 19:08, 16 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]
