Can you elicit someone e.g. She elicited the children to speak? or only objects? — This comment was unsigned.

You can "elicit speech from the children", but NOT "elicit the children to speak", and NOT "elicit the children to speak". DCDuring TALK 19:11, 8 February 2009 (UTC)Reply
