I once saw embarrass on a list of most commonly misspelled words (along with occur, necessary and probably misspell), and google confirms that the misspelling occurs about 1/9th as often as the correct spelling, which is actually extraordinarily high. -dmh 06:20, 12 Jan 2005 (UTC) (hoping I haven't made any spelling errors here)
