Connotations by gender[edit]

I think "fangirl" has different connotations than "fanboy". People tend to associate fangirls with shipping and squeeing, and fanboys are associated with pointless arguing. --Bran

That probably isn't lexical information, though: it would be like saying that there are differing stereotypes about male and female actors. It doesn't change the simple meanings of actor and actress. Equinox 21:42, 29 October 2014 (UTC)Reply
