Common in collocations such as generalized sepsis[1] and generalized necrosis.[2] While these look like adjectives, for which we have an entry, in the following uses we see the unadulterated verb in action: “If untreated, infections may generalize into septic shock”;[3] “Its clinical manifestations ... later generalized into systemic disturbances”;[4] “pink morbilliform eruption of forearms, then generalizes, involving face, palms, and soles”.[5]  --Lambiam 21:59, 12 December 2021 (UTC)Reply
